My contribution to ID Day
Thank you oh, Queen of the Groin Patrol for creating this day - what fun!
ETA - thanks to 60schic for her addition of the book thingie
The Obsession

She couldn’t keep her mind on her work. She came close a few times to cracking up the car. She shirked her responsibilities on a regular basis. She found ways to avoid being away from her computer or her television for any extended period of time. She couldn’t remember the last time that she actually read a book. She didn’t talk to her family and friends on the phone much any more. It had taken over her life. What was it?

His danglies.

Sure, he was great to look at, the hair and the eyes and the muscles. What woman wouldn’t be at least a little drawn to him? And there was the personality. She wondered what he was really like, but she already knew he was smart, which was a major turn on. But there was something extra – that part of his anatomy that she couldn’t really see, and could only imagine. And oh, how her imagination ran wild. What “they” could do, what “they” would do, what she wanted “them” to do, and what she wanted to do to “them”. It was all consuming, this obsession. The more she thought about it, the more she desired them.

She thought about them all day long; sometimes it would distract enough to be noticed, and that’s when she had to apologize for missing what someone said, or not hearing the phone. She knew that she should stop thinking about the danglies, someone would figure it out soon; they had truly become an obsession.

But it was a healthy obsession. A really healthy obsession.

Sounds like the story of our lives. :) A 'healthy' obsession, of course. Right up to the point where we tackle him in a shopping mall trying to yank down his pants screaming "Show me your DANGLIES!"
Mmonnie44 on March 14th, 2006 10:57 am (UTC)
Oh god. Three minutes and ID Day is over here. Noo. *clutches onto time*

You started earlier - but you can end later by joining the rest of us for the festivities...... much more fun!
loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 11:09 am (UTC)
LOL - I can actually picture that.
valkrys: IDDvalkrys on March 14th, 2006 11:05 am (UTC)
LMAO! Still trying to figure out what exactly is healthy about this obsession though...

Thanks for sharing and happy IDD!

Lust is a very healthy emotion - and so is smiling ;)
Happy ID Day to you too!

One very healthy obsession. Natural and one that Ben would not be embarrassed about at all. :)

Hail the groin - 'tis a thing of beauty.

loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 11:18 am (UTC)
Absofuckinglutely! It's completely natural to lust after the danglies.
Ben? Embarrassed? Never. ;0

loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 03:44 pm (UTC)
I'm thinking that we can all relate to the distraction that is Ben and his danglies.
Thanks
distelhad on March 14th, 2006 04:09 pm (UTC)
*debates* Hmm...that could beee... ;)
arualms on March 14th, 2006 04:59 pm (UTC)
Heh!
We are all obsessed! Good thing he doesn´t know (though really, he should feel flattered)
loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 05:14 pm (UTC)
You would think he'd be flattered; but this much attention might be too much for him ;)
mel39: crotchmel39 on March 14th, 2006 05:05 pm (UTC)
Hee! This is so scarily accurate of my life I feel like you may be stalking me. But it'd kind of a releif to know that I'm not alone!
loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 05:37 pm (UTC)
You're not alone, Ms.Mel - not by a long shot!
Vvana_ever_young on March 14th, 2006 07:17 pm (UTC)

Are you inside my head???? Get out, get out, god knows what you might find!!

This is SO reflective of my thoughts on the boy (well, apart from thinking about him at work, obviously, because I'm a lazy stay-at-home!)

Wonderful, loracj. It's comfoting to know that I'm not alone in my insanity. ;)
loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 08:25 pm (UTC)
You don't need to be at work to think about him all day long - at least I don't..It takes up my weekends too.
Thanks, Em. And I'm sure your head is a very interesting place :)

You already know I love this. I think Ben would be mortified if he peeked at this community----for all of 2 minutes until he read all the adoration/praise/hotfuckingsex and got hot & bothered himself. (then he'd need us boyohboy would he!)

Makes me want to shout "Hi, my name is 60sChic...and I am a BenAddict!"
loracjloracj on March 14th, 2006 10:32 pm (UTC)
This whole day does cry out for the oath, doesn't it?
Swearing eternal devotion for the danglies and Ben.
